Egg Tempera

I’ve always headed straight to the egg tempera section in every museum and thought I would be an egg tempera painter in my next life. Realizing I was still alive, I decided to learn how to use this difficult but rewarding medium. I love immersing myself in detail. Egg tempera allows me to use the smallest of brushes, building up layers and layers of paint til I get the density and richness I crave. I think I have found the medium that is perfect for me. Now I create from what I know, but have been considering reaching back to my original childhood aspiration of wanting to draw and paint fairy tales. An artist’s life is a great adventure!
